Veeiye & Ebony Join Jade In The Afternoons

Lighting up your airwaves yet again with a rosta of fresh talent, Jade Matthews will be catching up with two gifted UK vocalists - Veeiye and Ebony!

Born and raised in London to a musical family, singer/songwriter Veeiye combines her Yoruba roots with the melodic sounds of RnB to create her own sound.

After studying health and social care in college, Veeiye decided to persue her dreams of becoming a Afro-pop singer by taking on an extra year out to study music before becoming a musician full time. Influenced by artists such as Brandy, Joe, Michael Jackson and Fela Kuti, Veeiye works on perfecting her musical sound.

In a male dominated industry, she plans to bring something unique to the table. She has soulful vocals and smooth harmonies, which creates her fresh sound. She released her first single with Afro B called "Ecstasy" and has also featured on songs with Sona and Don E.

At 19-years-old, Ebony has already been coined as one-to-watch in 2017. Making waves on the music scene with her soulful and nostalgic voice, her style spans right across R&B to Neo-Soul with the agile ability to cross over to pop. Her voice projects reminiscent sounds of Lauryn Hill with the powerful twist of Adele formulating a contemporary and unique style.

Coming from a small town in Essex, Ebony has been influenced by the ever changing and diverse environment of London, these surroundings have been a key contribution to her musical exploration, always keeping her intrigued to learn more about people and varied sounds, a important factor that transcends into her music.

Ebony is about to step into the spotlight and take this year by storm, this multi-talented artist not only sings but writes her own songs too, being heavily involved with every detail from beginning to end. Pay close attention and watch her flourish, Ebony Frainteso is a name not to be forgotten.
