Top Boy Reported To Return For 2 New Seasons On Netflix

Netflix may have just saved yet another British cult classic TV series.

After reports suffaced that Drake had bought the rights to the critically acclaimed TV drama 'Top Boy', rumour has it that the series is set to be revived by Netflix for a further two series!

'Top Boy', which originally aired on Channel 4 in 2011, is based around the lives of London street gangs and drug dealers and the battle to either stay on top or strive to live an honest life against the odds of a crime-ridden area.

Actor Ashley walters, who plays character 'Dushane' in the series couldn't confirm the news when asked by BBC Newsbeat, but said 'there may be an update next month'.

After being photographed with Drake previously, Walters did say that the Canadian rapper would play a 'significant' role in the new show. Speaking to The Mirror he said,

“We met up to start talking about the show and we are working out a role for him,”

“He loves acting, of course he wanted a part. He’s going to be really hands on and is getting stuck into it.”
