Stormzy Hits Out At ‘Black’ Pre- Carnival Raid

Grime artist Stormzy speaks out against police injustice towards ‘black events’.

A pre-carnival raid has caused the ‘Big for your boots’ artist to call out the Metropolitan police on twitter.

Stormzy who performed at Glastonbury mid-June, replied back to the Metropolitan tweet which read; ‘In the run up to #NottingHillCarnival, officers have this morning seized what is believed to be a kilo of uncut heroin in #Catford.’ The 24-year-old replied ‘how many drugs did you lot seize in the run up to Glastonbury or we only doing tweets like this for black events?’

The star’s tweet sparked a racial row over the topic, with many supporting the Stormzy’s argument.

Carnival has been celebrating Afro-Caribbean culture since 1966, with more than one million people annually.

What’s your thoughts on the recent tweet made?
