Skepta Comes For All The Hypocrits In New Track

Grime legend Skepta is the gift that just keeps giving, as the star drops an expected track 'Hypocrisy' on Soundcloud.

And boy, does he have a lot to get off his chest!

The track which was produced by Sketpa himself, sees the star reveal that he turned down a MBE Award in this year's Queen's Birthday Honours : "Just came back from the Ivors/And look at what we collected/The MBE got rejected/I'm not trying to be accepted."

The star also makes reference to two-faced friends throughout the song saying : 'They try to disrespect me/When they're online especially/But everyting cool when they check me/ Because I'm so cool and deadly'

The track was first played by Boy Better Know's DJ Maximum at the Primavera Sound festival in June, according to reports from the Fader, but the 'Hypocrisy' was finally released on the star's SoundCloud just yesterday (02.07.17).

Skepta scooped up two Ivor Novello Awards in May for Songwriter Of the Year and Best Contemporary Song after also bagging the coveted Mercury Prize in September last year for his fourth album 'Konnichiwa'.

The BBK frontman has definitely been keeping busy after recently joining Boy Better Know at Glastonbury festival on the Sunday night, marking Skepta's second consecutive appearance after he played the Pyramid Stage in 2016.

BBK are set to takeover the O2 Arena in Wembley, London on the 27th August, which will feature special guests including rising star J Hus, A$Ap Rocky, Ghetts, Ms Banks, Cosmo Pyke and Kojey Radical.
