Scrappy Sits In On The Soca World Show

The Soca World Show are spicing things up this weekend, with more hot tunes and an even hotter guest.


Sitting in with them this week is non other than soca sensation, Scrappy!


With an astounding passion for Soca music, Scrappy is his own driving force towards reaching his milestone goals in life so far including the release of his successful and promising solo Soca albums.



Starting his musical journey at the tender age of 5, Scrappy began singing along with his mother to his favourite artists ranging from Bob Marley, to Peter Tosh, Gregory Isaacs, Sparrow and Gypsy to name just a few. His sing-a-long favs would soon play an influence in Scrappy's musical style.


After appearing in a number of talent competitions, Scrappy would soon gain his first bit of exposure to the Montserrat public when he entered the ever popular Star Search where he later made history by becoming the first ever Jr. Calypso Monarch aged 11.



Scrappy is fast becoming a household name for the soca music scene, not only in the Caribbean but in the European market as well after being nominated for awards in both the Soca Music Awards and the UK's prestigious Calabash Music Awards. With persistance and drive, Scrappy ahs continuously sharing Soca Music with the world, contributing and sharing the stage with the likes of El A Kru, Fyahman Hooper, Lutha, Mr.Vybe, Nadia Batson, Edwin Yearwood and Krosfyah to name just a few.
