Producer Hints Ocean Album May Be Out Next Month

It’s been four long years and still there’s no Frank Ocean album yet but we shouldn’t lose hope yet!

Early this week, Frank Ocean’s producer Malay had a few words to say on the very much awaited album. This mystery album was to follow Ocean’s breakthrough album ‘Channel Orange’ and when he announced the title of his second album being ‘Boys Don’t Cry’, the internet went mad. Rumours circulated that the album would be released in July however, July came and went and there was no word of the album since.

However, Ocean’s producer Malay had this to say on the subject in an interview with Pitchfork,

‘I always tell people, when he’s ready, the world is gonna get it. It could be tomorrow… well not tomorrow but maybe a month (laughs). We’ve all been working hard,’ he says.

‘He’s been working super hard. I feel like he’s working harder than he’s ever worked in his life. I’m excited for everyone to hear it. I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised, for sure, Frank’s exploring different vibes completely on this album. I wouldn’t say it’s vocally looser but just his mentality; it doesn’t seem as meticulous at certain times.’

So  could be a sign that we might FINALLY get that album after all? It seems that only time will tell for this one.
