Lauryn Hills Arrives Late For Show, Angering Fans

It seems Lauryn Hill fans just can’t catch a break. The singer hit the stage over two hours late at a recent concert in Atlanta Georgia, playing for only half an hour before her sound was cut due to the venue’s 11pm curfew. Hill was meant to take the stage at 8pm, but didn’t step in front of the audience at Chastain Park Amphitheatre till around 10.30pm. At 11pm, after the sound was cut, Hill continued to sing for a while and took some pictures with fans on the front row, before leaving.

Hill unfortunately has quite the reputation for showing up late to concerts. In February, the singer had her Grammy’s performance cut as she arrived past her scheduled starting time. Last year, she had to cancel a planned concert in Nigeria due to botched travel plans. In 2014, she was booed in Manchester for arriving on stage over an hour late, and in Brixton when she took to the stage 90 minutes later than she was expected.

Fans were quick to voice their grievances on Twitter.
