Having covered the 38th edition of ‘Europe’s oldest’ Reggae Festival in 2016, Mikee and Heartical made their return to the quaint city of Geel, in Belgium to attend the 39th edition of the ever popular ‘Reggae Geel Festival.

Despite the unexpected the odd shower, the energy and spirits of the 50,000 people in attendance were exceedingly high. As Jamaica geared up to celebrate it’s 55th independence the atmosphere at Reggae Geel 2017 was tropical and revellers were treated to no less than 72 acts onstage, with the bulk of them coming from the Island.

Performers Included veterans such as Glen Washington, Capleton aka King Shango, Maxi Priest, Steel Pulse, Black Uhuru (Michael Rose & Duckie Simpson), The Silvertones (Keith Coley, Joel ‘Kush’ Brown & Anthony Fuertado), The Heptones (Earl Morgan, Robert Dacres & Carlton Scarlett); upcoming & current stars such as Christopher Martin, Chronixx, Jesse Royal, Iba Mahr and Jah Cure; young budding talents like Hempress Sativa, Runkus, Royal Blu, Raging Fyah, EarthKry, Poetic Pilgrimage and Blvk H3ro; dancehall rulers Bay-C, Aidonia, Tanto Blacks, Ricky Trooper, and Soul Supreme plus roots & dub luminaries such as Gussie P, Channel One UK, Blood Shanti, Word Sound & Power, Mafia & Fluxy and Jah Youth and how can we forget Sherii Ven Dyer and Dionne Reid who are both good friends of the #InnerGoldShow.
