Drake Hosted and Performed On SNL On Saturday

Candian rapper Drake served as host and musical guest on Saturday's episode of 'Saturday Night Live', as part of the promotional tour of his latest album 'Views'. The episode was a great success with most people praising his opening monologue, 'More Than A Meme' featuring Rihanna, and the subsequent skits. Drake has become somewhat of an SNL regular, as this was his third time appearing on the NBC show, once as host in 2014 and the other as musical guest in 2011. According to Revolt, Drake is now the first rapper to have hosted and served as musical guest on SNL twice.

Drake rarely gets a chance to show off his acting chops, and the range of sketches gives him a chance to do. Maybe this will be good preparation for a potential acting gig in the upcoming 'Top Boy' season.

For his musical performances, Drake performed 'One Dance' following an intoduction by heavyweight comedian Chris Rock, and 'Hype'.

Here are some of our favourite clips of the episode, and Drake's two performances.
