Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey Set To Lead The Line-Up For The Hurricane Harvey Telethon

Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey and Barbra Streisand are amongst numerous stars to participate in a multi-network telethon, Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief, which is geared towards helping those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Houston.



The event will feature appearances and taped tributes from some of the country’s biggest stars including Jamie Foxx, Blake Shelton, Kelly Rowland, George Clooney, Karlie Kloss, Matthew McConaughey, Julia Roberts and many more.



The fundraiser will host stages in New York’s Times Square and in Nashville Grand Ole Opry. The hour long program will broadcast live on ABC, CBS, CMT, Fox and NBC on September 12 at 8pm EST and replay on the west coast at 8pm PST. The event can be viewed by international viewers live via Twitter and Facebook in unison with the east coast broadcast.



Hurricane Harvey, a category 4 hurricane has caused damages exceeding $100 billion and proceeds from the telethon will benefit United Way for Greater Houston, Habitat for Humanity, Save the Children and more organisations.
